When To visit?
Portobello Road is packed with antiques, clothing and food stalls from Westbourne Grove all the way up to and along Golborne Road. There are also a number of amazing spots to shop under the Westway along Thorpe Close.
We are open Monday - Sunday from 8am to 7pm, with traders usually operating from 8:30am to 6pm.

During the summer months, most stalls on Portobello Road set up from 8am-9am and close between 5pm-6pm.

During the Winter Months, most stalls set up 9am-10am and close between 4pm-5pm.

Saturday is the busiest day of the week. Visitors will find a full street market including the following :
Antiques Arcades
Westbourne Grove – antique stalls between Portobello Road and Kensington Park Road
Portobello Green – more new fashion and less vintage than Friday
Ladbroke Grove Farmers’ Market – from 9 am until 2 pm

Acklam Kitchen world food market and the Vintage clothing and bric-a-brac stalls & shops near Portobello Green are open for business, but there is no street market in Portobello or Golborne Roads.
Most cafes and many shops are open, and there may be forecourt traders at the southern end of Portobello Road.

The street market is open on Good Friday until 5 pm but closed on other bank holidays. UK bank holidays are: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Early May bank holiday, Spring bank holiday, and Summer bank holiday. In some cases when the official bank holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there is also a ‘day off’ on the following Monday and/or Tuesday.

The antique arcades off Portobello Road between Chepstow Villas and Westbourne Grove only open on Saturdays, most from 7 am till about 4 pm.

Many shops along Portobello Road and Golborne Road are open for business 7 days a week. Shops normally open at around 10 am Monday to Saturday, later on, Sundays. Coffee shops usually open earlier, many at around 7 am for breakfast.

The Kensington & Chelsea Council partners with Portobello and Golborne Management Committee (PGMC), a non-profit group representing the businesses and residents of Portobello Road and Golborne Road, to manage the main market along Portobello Road and Golborne Road. Portobello Green Market
Sits on Portobello Road by the Westway flyover and specialises in vintage clothing and street food. Look out for the iconic market canopy on Portobello Road/Thorpe Close, just 2 minutes walk from Ladbroke Grove tube station.
Portobello Vegan Market
Run by Plant Based Events Co. They run a vegan market in Acklam Village most Sundays and a Vegan Night Market under the market canopy on Portobello Road Fortnightly during the summer months.
