Our Story
It all started when…
London’s Portobello Road & Golborne Road Market is probably the world’s best known street market with a history stretching back over 150 years. The market is famous for its antique and bric-a-brac stalls and shops but it also features a superb selection of fashion, food, crafts, books and music. Hundreds of traders sell all sorts of everything, old and new, and there’s plenty of delicious street food from all around the world.
On Fridays and Saturdays the market stalls stretch a mile along Portobello Road and round the corner into Golborne Road. Sunday is another busy day and there are stalls and shops open every day of the week except Thursday afternoons when shops are open but there are no stalls trading.
There’s so much going on down the market that it’s impossible to list everything – plus it’s constantly changing!
If you like shopping without knowing exactly what you’ll find, you’ll love Portobello and Golborne Markets. You’ll find a treasure trove of bargains with sellers from every corner of the world.
