We are thrilled to hit 10,000 followers on Instagram. We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without you!
The team at Visit Portobello have been working incredibly hard to build up this community, making it what it is today. Our community has grown drastically since August 2018 when the Instagram account was rebranded from @rbckmarkets to @visitportobello. Since then it has been a journey of growth for Visit Portobello with many highlights along the way. Below are some of them:
August 2019 the website visitportobello.com was launched
November 2019 we had our first Visit Portobello campaign - ‘Christmas Stocking Stuffers’
March 2020 during the pandemic RBKC Free Portobello WiFi was introduced
July 2020 Morley College & Visit Portobello had an online Craft Fair where the artists work was showcased and available to be purchased
September 2020 Visit Portobello had its first Antique Fair
October 2020 the DSCVR app launched which is where information about Portobello’s activities are listed
December 2020 we had a virtual Christmas Fair and Antique Fair
January 2021 the monthly newsletter launched, we had a virtual January sale, the DSCVR app had a showcase and there was a COVID-19 Shop Safely campaign
February - April 2021 we had a virtual Easter Egg Hunt
March 2021 we starting doing Q&As for the traders at Portobello market so you could all get to know them and their business’
We created TikTok!
There are many more highlights to come and this is just the beginning for Visit Portobello. We are very grateful and thankful for all of our followers supporting us along the way.
